One of the older towers in the Austin skyline is the Towers of Town lake. This is one of the first skyscrapers downtown, and as a result is very different from some of the modern ones currently being built.
As one of the older condo hi-rises, and because it isn’t truly downtown, but in the up and coming Rainey District, this building has one of the lowest per square foot prices, AND some of the largest units to be found.
Plus, since it was built before the real estate boom hit downtown, it’s on 6 acres, that’s up to 3x more land than other downtown condos.
What does that mean for you?
Amenities. and lots of ’em.
Plus some pretty cool views.
Two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), super easy access to the hike and bike trail, Raquetball court – to my knowledge this is the only building in Austin that has one. And there’s a ping-pong / billiard room, and an amazing weight room. And a Library. Granted some of the rooms look a little dated, but the Towers of Town Lake has them.
Since the building isn’t downtown, you get a VIEW of downtown.
Every unit has dedicated parking and a covered patio/balcony. Most, the majority are 2 bedroom and around 1200 square feet. Older ones, the units that haven’t been remodeled may have carpet, but since these are condos, and you own everything inside the drywall, some owners have pulled the old flooring out and put in hardwoods.
Other owners have updated the bathrooms, and a few even re-did the kitchens. But those units are more expensive when they come on the market for sale.
