Rollingwood is one of those little neighborhoods that not a lot of people outside of Austin know about. Not only does it have some absolutely stunning homes, but it is also centrally located, and very close to downtown, Zilker Park, and Westlake Hills, but still very private.
Rollingwood is another one of the areas that has full-mature trees, and was built on some gentle hills (not as severe as some other parts of Austin). But what I really like about this part of town is that they have a TON of modern homes. Sure, there are subdivisions like Agave, where you can find affordable 2-3 bedroom modern homes , but the modern homes for sale in Rollingwood are truly spectacular.
Using only the best materials, construction methods, and frequently designed by Architects or prestigious design and build firms, you can find modern luxury homes on almost every street.
Which leads me to diversity. So often when you buy a house in a new subdivision, they all look similar. This is because 3 or 4 builders were selected for that development, and they had guidelines on the way everything had to look. In Rollingwood, you will find homes ranging from 2-6+ bedrooms, on different sized lots, and I can guarantee you that no two are even close to similar.
There are a few condos, and rentals in Rollingwood, but most are single family homes.
