Highland Homes at Travisso

Highland Homes will be built in the brand new Travisso neighborhood up in Leander.  I really REALLY like Highland Homes, and have worked with them for years in several of their communities.

What is so great about a Highland home?  Simply put the floor plans meet the requirements for today’s families.  They have great features like a place near the garage door to the house where you can put your shoes, bags, backpacks, before you really come in the house.

They call it Transitional Style, and right now it’s all the rage.  You see it in the movies, and in all the home and design movies.  It’s a mix of contemporary and traditional.  Starting with a neutral palate, and layering just a bit here and there.  Each room has a purpose, but also can be so much more.

Like the kitchen island, for instance.  It’s the centerpiece of most kitchens.  With a  durable granite surface, it is just the place to dump that armful of groceries you just carried in from the car.  Later in the day it is the perfect surface to prepare that diorama of the solar system for your kids science project.  Then on the weekend, you can roll out the dough from your grandmother’s famous scone recipe.  And later, it is the perfect buffet table for all the desserts that came when you hosted the book club.

The final styles and floor plans haven’t yet been released, but homes are expected to be right around $300,000, and between 2200 to 3500 sq. ft.  By the time you read this I’ll have more information, so give me a call if you are interested.

About Traviso

Opening in the Summer of 2014, Travisso will be a brand new neighborhood with over 2,900 new homes near Austin.  Just before Crystal Falls in Leander, this community is a short 30 minute drive to downtown (a shorter commute than if you live in Lakeway or other parts of the hill country).

This is a large subdivision with just over 2100 acres.  Large parts have already been set aside as parks and trails, plus there will be a resort-style amenities center with pools and more.

All the kids who live in Travisso will go to the Leander Schools system,  A highly rated ISD, and two new schools are in development to be built as well.

I’m excited to watch Travisso develop and grow – If you want even more information, or want to see some of the new gorgeous homes being built, give me a call. or send me an email.
